A weekend of lovemaking

They say it’s hard
but not for us
Two people
in a tale of two cities

Saturday morning
a crowded airport
I look through the window
and see the city I’ve left behind

Churches, mountains
beaches, an image of Christ
There are no hills there
Besides your hips

For there are skyscrapers
Long subway lines
I take the way that takes me
to your apartment

And our secret encounter starts
I can’t help but think that
it will only last two days
Two cities
Two people

Poema inspirado em “Did you think I was a city?”, de Rupi Kaur. Disponível aqui.
